My Story
Having grown up watching my mother - a talented tailoress - sewing for private clients, it was perhaps inevitable that I would inherit the sewing gene. Still it wasn’t until we bought our first home that it became clear this passion could grow into a true career move; a genuine cottage industry.

From a young age, I had a natural eye for colour, shape, texture and space. As a teenager, I was forever rearranging furniture while my parents were out, styling rooms with objects from around the house - an early glimpse of what would become my path into interior design.
​
With guidance of Merrick & Day, I taught myself the art of creating soft furnishings. Soon, family and friends began to request pieces, and by 2001 the business was officially born.
An A Level in Art & Design followed by a Diploma in Interior Design laid a strong foundation for what has since grown into a thriving business. Today, my work spans the South, collaborating with private clients, fellow designers, property developers and the hospitality sector. Each project is wonderfully varied but the goal remains the same: to create something truly special - spaces and pieces to be enjoyed and admired by all.

Tailored consultation
Booking an appointment is simple. Mary will visit your home to discuss your requirements, explore styles and fabric options, and take detailed measurements. Whether it's for a single blind or a full-house project, the same level of care and attention is always applied.
Handmade-to-measure
Following the visit, you'll receive a detailed quote tailored to your project. Once approved, your order is scheduled for production and your chosen designs are crafted by hand with dedication and a careful eye for every detail.
Professional installation
On completion, a fitting date is arranged, and your furnishings are professionally installed by Mary and her trusted fitter, ensuring everything is beautifully finished and ready to enjoy.

CURTAINS, POLES & PELMETS
Mary creates beautifully made-to-measure curtains - lined or interlined - with a choice of pleating styles and embellishments. Discover a wonderful selection of wooden and metal poles, thoughtfully curated to suit every purse. For something truly special, you can choose a bespoke, hand-forged metal design crafted by a gifted local artisan blacksmith. For a softer, more tailored finish, beautifully upholstered pelmets or valances with discreet integrated tracking offer a stylish alternative.
HANDMADE ROMAN BLINDS
Transform your space with Mary's exquisite handmade Roman Blinds, thoughtfully designed just for you. Choose from lined or interlined to enhance insulation and privacy. Elevate your design further with delightful extras, including elegant trims and stylish pelmets. Prefer a roller blind? Mary can laminate your favourite fabric to create a stunning, functional piece that perfectly complements your style.

CUSHIONS & SEAT PADS
Complement your space with the sumptuous touch of luxury feather pads. Whether it be a simple piped cushion or complemented with decorative trims; they not only enhance aesthetics but also bring a plush comfort that is hard to resist. FOOTSTOOLS
Mary will craft your bespoke footstool in a size tailored to suit your room design and upholstered in the fabric of your choice.

LIGHTING & LAMPSHADES
Mary works with a number of suppliers to source lighting that will complement and add that finishing touch to your room.
If you want something different or can’t quite find a lampshade that works in your room let's make one. Drum lampshades or handmade pleated available.​​​​​

FABRIC
Experience a meticulously curated collection of fabrics that caters to every aesthetic, from timeless and traditional to contemporary and eclectic. Mary personally sources designer fabrics on your behalf, collaborating with esteemed design houses, or, should you prefer, you may supply your own selections.
UPHOLSTERY
Working alongside a talented master upholsterer, Mary can help with sourcing fabric and rejuvenating existing pieces to gain a new look. The furniture items are collected from your home and returned back to you renovated and restored by the upholsterer.

INTERIOR DESIGN
If you require a helping hand in the pulling together of your room/home, Mary can assist by creating mood boards offering options and styling ideas to enable good decision making. A visual aid often helps to imagine how it is all going to look at the end of the day.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
With a little black book of trusted trade people, Mary can help with managing any refurbishment projects; electricians, carpenters, tilers, plumbers, all tried and tested and working to the same high standard.
